“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”  Matthew 9: 37-38

Supporting the work of the Great Commission...

We believe that it is the command of Christ to go to all nations is still binding on the church today.  His command was to go to all nations and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).  As it stands today, there are still many nations that have yet to hear of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

When we talk about nations, we are not talking about the countries as they exist today.  The word used in the Greek New Testament for nation is Ethne, which is better understood today as "people groups".  With that, there are still nearly 1,800 people groups that have not yet seen one verse translated into their language.  In fact, of the nearly 7,000 languages spoken in the world today, only 636 have a complete translation of the bible in their language.  That leaves hundreds of millions of people without the opportunity to hear God's word in a language that they understand.

That is where we are involved.  Our work is to go out to the nations and support the work of Bible translation.  To empower communities, give them the resources that they need, and coordinate the work of the many groups that are supporting language development and scripture translation.

When you support the work that we are doing, you are not giving to use so that we can do what God has asked us to do.  You are doing it with us.  When you contribute to world missions, you are following the command of Christ by allowing missionaries to be able to go out and do the work.  In that, your prayers and support is just as vital to the success of the mission as those who go to proclaim the Gospel.

As the church, we are one body, set out to accomplish one task, and that is to make God's name famous throughout the Earth.  Would you consider joining us in the task?  If so, click the link below and be sure to designate your giving for the McMaster Family Mission.
